The Greatest Teacher

Pep Talk Ever

For eight hours a day teachers help shape the destiny of their students. But it's hard. The expectations and responsibilities are heavy and they will beat you to the ground and keep you there if you let 'em. That's when you gotta get up. That's when you have to reach down deep inside yourself and grab hold of that reason you became a teacher. But it's not always easy. That's why you need each other.

The Greatest Teacher Pep Talk is just that...a pep talk. The problem with pep talks for teachers is that pep talks don't last. They provide you with no tools.

This pep talk does!!!!

During this presentation Derek  provides teachers with a pep talk that will last.  A pep talk that provides teachers with information and tools to get them past tomorrow, gets them through this year, and stays with them their whole teaching career.

Teacher Self Care

"Put Your Mask on First"

"A recent study by the American Federation of Teachers showed that 61% of teachers said their work was always or often stressful. Over half agreed that they didn't feel the same enthusiasm as when they started teaching. They reported experiencing poor health and being bullied at work - by superiors, colleagues, students, or parents - at rates far higher than are reported for other professions. And the vast majority said they are sleep-deprived." -2017 Educator Quality of Work Life Survey

The first rule you learn on any plane flight is that if you are travelling with children and the oxygen masks fall from the compartment above your head you always put yours on first so that you can help your child put on their mask. The same principal applies to teachers. Teachers can't address the needs of their students unless they first address their own needs. So, it's time for teachers to start taking care of their physical, emotional, and mental needs.

Perspective, Passion, and Purpose

A New Perspectivective

What if there was a way to encourage teachers in their professional and personal lives? What if we could provide encouragement in a way that inspired them to rekindle their passion and purpose for teaching? What if we could change their perspective regarding their role as an educator? Well, we have great news for you...you can do all of that in one day!

The What If? project is proud to offer a presentation by Derek Hutchison entitled "Passion, Purpose, and the Power of Perspective". Through personal stories and real life examples Derek encourages teachers to look at their professional and personal lives with a new and fresh perspective. Derek brings teachers alongside of him as he recalls his own struggles following the three brain surgeries that would forever change his life perspective. Teachers will be inspired by his stories and be encouraged to examine their own perspectives in a new and exciting way.

Don't miss this opportunity to provide teachers with something that can change their professional and personal lives forever...a new perspective!

*The length of this presentation can be adjusted to fit your scheduling needs but typically lasts 45 minutes to an hour..
